Lejoy LD20 Laser Mapping Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner Unboxing
We just get the ready-launching Lejoy LD20 -the laser guided robot vacuum cleaner and sharing our unboxing experience with you all.
This blog includes 5 section:
The outer packaging of the LD20 is designed uniquely, simple, and exquisite, using double-layer environmentally friendly carton packaging.
In addition to LD20 robot vacuum, it is also equipped with some accessories, including a charger, an instruction manual, two side brushes, a cleaning brush, a charge station, a remote control, and a water tank.
Before cleaning, you need to install the two side brushes pairing the left and right side, place the charging stand against the wall with no obstacles around 1-2 meters, connect the adapter and power supply. According to the instruction guide, we place the charge station in an open area and against the wall, like the living room, and need to remove stuff 2m around the charge dock for a better robot homing rate. If there is too much stuff or any electrical appliance around here, it may affect the robot look for docking.
There are "Home" and "Clean/Pause" buttons on the top of Lejoy LD20 for cleaning and charging. At the bottom of the robot, there is left and right-side brushes, a roller brush that can be removed for cleaning, two drive wheels and an omnidirectional wheel. The switch ON/OFF and manual charge socket is on the right side of the robot.
It takes about 240- 360 minutes to fully charge the battery, which will provide approximately 90-120 minutes of running time. In our first testing, it works 125 minutes and then battery run out and the robot start seeking for the charge station. it only takes 3 minutes for the robot back to the station (our house is around 120 sqm). Generally speaking, laser mapping robot vacuums take less time to find the charge dock than other kind of robot cleaner.
Vacuuming
Lejoy LD20 laser navigation robot vacuum cleaner provides 4 ways for control, you can prefer any kind of control to start:
- Alexa/ Google Assistant voice control: you can start the Lejoy LD20 with voice control after setting Alexa or Google Home.
- "Clean" button on the robot: switch on the robot and wait the robot turn on, then press the “Power” button on robot to start the cleaning.
- Lejoy Home APP: you can download “Lejoy Home” App in google play store or IOS app store, add the robot into the app, then you can control it anywhere you are for a real distance remote control.
- IR remote control: in standard package, it comes with an IR remote control, which is friendly for people never use smart phone. Brief and flexible.
For zigzag cleaning and edge cleaning mode, the robot vacuum cleaner only sweeps once at the same area. I sprinkled a little rice on the hard floor to test the vacuum function. Surprisingly, although it has only passed through once, the cleaning effect is also good. For a point that I want to clean specifically, it is better to use spot cleaning. Due to the circular design of the LD20, the effect is not so good for corner cleaning.
With smart sensors, LD20 has anti-collision and anti-drop function. When the front bumper of the robot encounters resistance or stairs, it will automatically change direction. It can easily walk across hard floors and low-pile carpets. LD20 robot cleaner has a powerful suction, the maximum suction power can reach 2400 Pa, and there are three different levels of suction power, quiet, normal, and max suction modes, which can be adjusted by remote control or APP according to different floor types and garbage. It is about 16.5 inches in diameter and 4 inches in height, which can be cleaned under sofa, beds, and other furniture.
When the cleaning is completed or the battery is low, LD20 vacuum cleaner will auto recharge. More importantly, the smart vacuum also has a break point running function. If the cleaning is not completed because of the low battery, it will automatically continue to complete the last unfinished work when you start a new cleaning. This saves me from worrying about being unable to complete the cleaning work due to battery problem.
The LD20 cleaning robot is equipped with a 600ml large dustbin. After cleaning, the dustbin can be easily taken out of the vacuum by pulling the handle, and a lot of dust and garbage can be seen. The high efficiency filter of the robot vacuum also can be cleaned with tap water.
Mopping
Lejoy LD20 Orville also provide a water tank accessory for wet mopping. Replace the dust box with a water tank combo dust bin, it can be used for mopping and vacuuming simultaneously. It is composed of a 300ml water tank, a 300ml small dust box and a piece of cloth. The setup is easy: firstly, take out the water tank, unplug the rubber cap and input water. The cloth does not need to be wet, because the water will automatically wet the mopping cloth. LD20 can adjust three different levels of water flow rate through the APP or remote control.
I sprinkled some flour on the wood floor to test the mopping function, and the effect of cleaning once was good. It is worth noting if a robot vacuum with water tank cannot remove loose dirt or stain on the surface. Another point is that LD20 robotic vacuum cleaner cannot recognize the carpet when it is mopping, so when you use it for a mopping, please set the carpet area as no-go zone, then the LD20 will never cleaning this area.
Search in google play store or app store “Lejoy Home”, download and install in your phone, open the app and add LD20 as a new device as per the guide instruction, the APP provides a flexible operation inside. With the smart navigation, when LD20 is used for the first time, it will map the house and display a flat map in the APP and divide it into multiple rooms. Through this layout, it can draw the most effective cleaning path. The maps drawn on the multiple floors can be saved.
The interface design of the smart APP is quite simple, the upper part will display the map, the Cleaning Time, Cleaning Area, and the Residual Electricity (expressed in percentage) will be displayed below. At the bottom and right, there are various cleaning modes.
When mopping the floor does not want to reach the carpet area, or some areas do not want to be cleaned, I can set a no-go zone, or set a zone cleaning.
Many other functions are provided in the "Settings". For example, to find the robot, click the “Seek Robot”, the robot will make a ding-dong sound to identify its location. Click the “Scheduler”, it can clean at a certain time by scheduling. The voice volume of the robot can also be adjusted. A variety of functions can be easily used through the APP.
The price of LD20 laser vacuum cleaner is only US$299, which is relatively affordable compared to some brands with the same function.
With smart laser navigation, 2-in-1 sweep and mop, mapping technology, zone cleaning, virtual boundary, and virtual zone, support remote control, Alexa voice control and smart APP control, etc.
It is very suitable for large residential use and suitable for a variety of floors, hardwood floors, tiles, and carpets. It can suck pet fur, hair, dust, small particles, and other garbage.
